Following PatOnce again as with every relese of oracle since 8.x problems on Linux.
I have followed three different guides (all of which differered btw) and
still no luck. (The guides I used were one on oracle 'Johnny
1) Skip all of step 7 since that refers to 32 bit Oracle on 64 bit Linux
2a) Use p3423540_9204_LINUX64.zip for AMD64/EMT64 - fixes __libc_wait errors
2b) Asynch i/o is not required from myHi All
I 'm trying to lock my sga in memory on a RedHat Linux 3 AS server. When I
try to start the database with the "lock_sga true " paramerter in my init
file I get the following error

On a raw device you need a dd to eHi folks
i?ve encountered the following error message when trying
to start a database with an SGA > 8 GB.
SQL > startup
ORA-27102 out of memory
Linux-x86_64 Error 22 Invalid argument
